I have a very good experience with UBS bank right from the start of setting up the account. Mind you, when I arrived, I only spoke ‘Bonjour’ and knew ‘Merci’ pretty polite words to begin life in Switzerland, don’t you think?
I think you get an idea of how I go about things here, right? Well, rationally speaking nobody is going to speak fluent Swiss French in one week. Let’s face it, it is pretty unusual unless you are Ross from “SUITS”!
Life doesn’t stop only because you don’t speak the language. Luckily, UBS Switzerland bank does have online banking in English language, how fabulous! ☺ I give them a big plus here. Also, since their customer service includes the English language, I am their customer! Thank You.
Just to be clear, I never bothered looking elsewhere since UBS was recommended to us, therefore we didn’t look at other banks too seriously.
Right from the start you will the notice security of UBS e-banking, online login is designed to be extra secure despite me being reluctant at the beginning. Literally, I was like, what the heck is this?! Never mind, I got used to it. Like it. ☺
Opening bank accounts was easy because we had a relocation agent who organised the meeting for us, where everything was being taking care of. I am not sure how this works if you turn up at the desk asking to open the bank account. One thing for sure language isn’t a barrier here. See for yourself- UBS.
